Operation Southwest Safe Drug DisposAL informs and empowers the communities of Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Coffee, Conecuh, Covington, Dallas, Escambia, Greene, Henry, Marengo, Monroe, Perry, Sumter and Wilcox Counties to utilize safe prescription drug disposal methods and community drug takeback programs.
S.A.O.R. Responder Effectiveness strengthens collaboration with and between law enforcement and first responders to enhance their capability of responding and/or providing emergency treatment to those with SUD/OUD, particularly vulnerable populations within the service area that suffer from health access and outcome disparities.
SAOR increases naloxone awareness by collaborating with local and state organizations to increase access to and training on naloxone within the rural service area to ensure that individuals and caregivers who may encounter an overdose can take the appropriate steps to reverse an overdose.
Our consortium implements a multi sector coordinated approach to increase community capacity for prevention, treatment, and recovery support. A targeted focus on those at risk and diagnosed with substance use disorder.
